Banana Lily


Many people will see this photo differently.

Some will feel a story idea exists within this photo. Some will see a banana. Some will see a Yellow Lily lying sideways. Some may think only about the clarity of the fly.

I saw all that after I had a second look at the picture in my computer’s flower photo collage folder.

And here’s what my fertile story mind thought in terms of a lurking children’s tale:
A Yellow Lily lies sideways appearing like a banana with its end split open. Exploring the possibilities of the yellow-textured landscape, and yet unaware of the opened end, a fly wonders just how he is to go about cracking open the offered fruit.
